hi all an update my ip called after my creditors meeting day and i got accepted for my iva, some clauses, ie, if i get overtime at work, then 50% must go in the pot, if i miss 3 payments it will become a default, if i win the lottery or get a windfall, ( i wish ) then i must tell, i should now be feeling great as in five years i will be debt free, but why dont i ?? i feel that i will be spyed on having to watch everything i do, thinking the creditors will try to get a default so they get all their money back, becouse i went for an iva, i feel the creditors scan the computers to see if i am defaulting, is this a normal feeling or am i just being silly, am i the only one who felt like this, your advise to me on this forum in the past really helped and i thank you all, what is your advise now, tell me and i will respect it.

WELL DONE !!!
I told you that all would be well and agreed.
All your clauses are standard and are nothing to worry about.
Five years from now Ray and you will be laughing.
Just get into a strict routine, pay your IVA as a priority, send in your payslips as requested and send 50% of your overtime /bonus straight to your IP.
Yes it WILL be tough at times but then again if it was easy then half of the population would be in an IVA.
Keep posting and once again WELL DONE,you,ve made my day !
Regards
Ps By the way your creditors will not be checking on you, they leave it all to the IP......The secret Ray is to keep them happy.

Excellent news, and congratulations, you are now on the path to "debt freedom”
Your goal was having a fresh start and being in control if your budget. You are now in charge of your financial situation. By developing a plan and sticking to it, you will easily be able to accomplish your goal.

For many financial planners, they recommend keeping a diary and a list of your finances. Before you can begin living the life you deserve you have to figure out how you want to live it. Knowing yourself (wants, needs, and desires) is your first step to creating the life you have always wanted.

It is normal to have mixed feelings but look at the bright side. You will be debt free in 5 years.

All the best,

CONGRATULATIONS RAY!!

It’s so great to hear stories of IVA success through this forum, well done.

Just remember your creditors knew full well that once they agreed to your IVA (which is legally binding) they would not get back the entire amount of money they lent you.

This is unless of course you have equity in a property that you have organised to release or also like you said winning the lottery etc.

Hope this information is of use

sometimes it takes one deptartment of a bank to catch up with the other.

I would contact your isp asap and get them to contact First Direct.

Hello Gaborkiraly

As Dominic says sometimes it takes a little time for a creditors records to be updated correctly after you have had your IVA accepted so I wouldn't worry too much about this. Contact your IP and ask them to resolve the situation asap.

If your IVA has been approved by the courts it is legally binding on all your Creditors!
