Hi Platypus

The best thing to do is speak to a reputable debt advisor and explain your situation. IVAs are individual based on your personal circumstances and how you got there.

Some creditors don't take it lightly if the debt is recent, some stipulate a minimum dividend.

The debt advisor can then help you decide which is your best way forward as that result is sometimes different to what you may think.

Good luck and keep us posted

You will need to be returning at least 40p in the £, given that you owed HSBC more than 25% of your aggregate debt. This is a minimum dividend requirement this creditor stipulates.
