Good evening all you wonderful people [:)]
I just thought somebody may know this one- once you've completed an iva i know its meant to clear off after 6 years on your file. im sure i read somewhere that you have to wait an extra year ?
apologies if somebody has already asked this-hence me not being worthy of expert status !

As far as I know hun, its a year after the completion of an IVA or six years after a BR order has been made.

Sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, I am not an expert either.

It is six years generally, regardless of the type of insolvency you enter into.

Your IVA will stay on your credit file for six years from the day it started. So if your IVA was five years longer then the record of it will only stay on for a further 12 months after the IVA ends.
