Does anyone know the best place to get a car loan when you're bankrupt?? I have looked and seen that you can get a car loan if you're bankrupt or IVA etc but I don't know where to go!! I can't afford to buy a decent car because it'll take years for me to save and so I can only afford cars that don't last long so I'm ending up paying more a month than a loan repayment! I can't go without a car cause i need one to get to work.
Hope someone can offer me advice and don't worry I'm not looking to get a loan to get myself into debt again, I have certainly learn't my lesson! [:)]

'bankrupt car loan' in google UK found me 327,000 pages so I am sure they are available - would hate to think what the interest rates would be though...

I'm not paying anything back, I wasn't earning enough at the time (was discharged well over a year ago) but now I have a partner who can help me with the repayments.
I searched google too and thats why I was wondering if anyone knew an actual website cause there is so many to go thro

Sorry veekay, couldn't recommend anyone in particular, but being discharged for over a year means, I should imagine you could use just about anybody, as long as affordability is provable.

I would suggest one site that checks out lots of lenders - maybe
http://www.fairinvestment.co.uk/bad_cre ... uotes.aspx
They says on the site that previous bad credit is not an issue.
This is not a recommendation - just a suggestion

yeah I see that. I think I'm just a bit scared of getting into old habits so I'm going to think about it first and see if I can save up any quicker

Do you have a bad credit score and you're searching for car finance.
Poor credit history and low credit rating might have created it tough for you to induce a personal loan within the past.
Remember, if you have county court judgments, defaults, arrears, previous bankruptcy, iva or a payment arrangement, it needn't stop you from getting your new car.
