Hi guys

Just a query. Hubby and I have been discussing emigrating to Australia for a while now. We've assumed that we can't because I'm going to be repaying my DMP for the next 10 years or so, however, if I did more abroad, could I continue paying into my DMP until it's completed, or would all my debt become immediately repayable??

Cheers. [:D]

As long as you continue to make your payments and keep the company who is dealing with your DMP in the picture, I can see no reason why you cannot keep the DMP running. I am sure an expert will advise you further and correct me if I am wrong.

Makes no difference whether you live in Melbourne in Derbyshire or Melbourne in Australia. The key thing is keeping in touch with your DMP company and maintaining payments.

Hi johnz,

To add to previous comment I cannot see any issue with this whatsoever.

Excellent, thanks guys [:D] Hope you all had a great christmas.

Hey, Andrew, you know this means that if everything works out I'll be paying you in Ozzie dollars[:D][:D] Which are about 2 to every pound. So on paper it looks like mega bucks [:D][:D][:D]

Only joking. It's all a bit pie in the sky at the moment, but if anything does happen I'll give you a call to discuss to logistics of it. Hey, just thought. If it does happen, you and Simon will have to come to visit for an "appointment". Just time it for summer time[:D][:D][:D]
