My creditor's meeting is scheduled tomorrow. Hopefully everything goes fine. My creditors are Natwest, A&L, MBNA (Virgin Credit Card) and Capital One.

Natwest wants an increase of 180 pounds to my current proposed contribution (which I am sure I cannot afford).
Virgin (MBNA) Credit Card has rejected my proposal.
Alliance and Leicester did not vote.

At the moment I have got 63% approval (including Natwest). The consultant who is dealing with creditor's meeting says, she is going to chase Alliance and Leicester to vote (she also says a positive vote from Alliance and Leicester is required). Also she is trying to find out from Natwest on how they arrived on 180 pounds. And I was also told that this will be open for next two weeks. I am not sure how its going to go. It adds up more stress to my current situation. I am trying all possible permutations and combinations. FYI, my initial offer was 40p in the £

Where on earth did they get this sum from - no doubt the CCCS guidelines again, and what IP firm are you using.

You need to be very careful you do not take on a commitment that you cannot afford, as that will just be jumping from the frying pan into the fire.

I am using Clearstart. The consultant is going to find out from Natwest on how they think I can save 180.

My current account was with Natwest. Recently I borrowed money from my friends to pay off my bills (and eventually repayed). I am not sure if they think these transactions were my earnings ? Anyway I will wait for a reply from Natwest.

normally the increase is based on you Income and Expendeture, lenders us spending peramitors based on standard factir (number of people in the house = xxx amount for shoping etc) I have never come across previous transaction through the account having an impact on the creditors meeting (the banks tend to use third party companies to process the IVA PROPOSALS). Was there any exceptional items in your I and E that were not qualified in the proposal?

As far as I am aware, there are no exceptional items in my proposal apart from normal expenditures. Number of people in my house is three at the moment and will be four within a couple of weeks time (we are expecting a baby anytime now).
