We are an employer who require our staff to have their salary paid into a bank account in their own name. One such colleagues tells us that they have an IVA and cannot open an account? Is this correct?

Hi Neil. There are accounts for those in an iva, but they have to be basic with no credit attached and not attached to any of their creditors. If they are at the start of their iva they may not have been able to open one straight away and may be worried if their wages go into an account of a creditor they will lose their money as the creditor may withhold it.
