Hi, i currently rent a place on my own. If i were to move into my girlfriends house (which she owns with a mortgage) and pay her rent would she have to pay anything into my iva and would it affect her property or her status in any way. thanks in advance for any help [:)]

She would not have to pay anything into your IVA, but your expenditure would be reassessed by your IP in case there were any changes - as presumably you could be saving some money by sharing a property. Any saved money would need to be given to your creditors by way of increased contributions, but this would not affect your girlfriend's property in any way.

Hi There,

Your girlfriend's property would not be affected or included in your IVA. However you would need to produce a household income & expenditure to your I.P as now you are sharing costs.

It's always good to keep your I.P in the loop, so why not give them a call and discuss your options.
