Despite having contacted them by telephone, post and e-mail, I am STILL getting hassle from them. The latest one is an item of post I have had from them saying they will hand my case on to their collection agency, which says they will call at my house w/c 25/01/08. I'm scared that they might actually do so now.

Whilst I know I am protected through my IVA, I still don't actually want them turning up at my doorstep. [V][:0][:(]

That is disapointing Chris, but it can take a while to filter down from what some people say.[:(]

I had no problems with MBNA as they sold on my debt before my creditors meeting so did not hassle me at all, although they were only a small part of my overall debt.

Maybe send them a copy of your chairmans report by recorded delivery to a named person who you have spoken to.

Or the thing which worked with me for Morgan Stanley was getting the telephone advisor to check the insolvency register while you are on the phone and they can see it in black and white and should take action on that.

Good luck and don't let it get you down[:)]

Hi
I doubt very much that anyone will.
Phone up MBNA and ask them to check the online insolvency register whilst you hold on the phone.
Once they realise that you ARE in an IVA calls and letters should finally stop and be sure to speak with a supervisor when you phone.

Just a couple of further questions:

1) I am not on the insolvency register as yet (just checked myself!)

2) I haven't had a copy of my chairman's report as yet - is this normal?

3) I spoke to a supervisor when I phoned on Monday, and she did say it could "take a while for it to filter through", I got the feeling she didn't believe me though!

Thanks Andy and Emma [:)]

We had one of those and I stayed in to see them. Needless to say nobody came.

Thanks Ang - I don't know why I am particularly worried about this one, I've had threats of people coming to see me before, and nothing has materialised - I guess it's just with a third party involved.

Morning Chris
My Chairmans report was just over 2 weeks coming to me.
Since my iva was approved on the 27th December I have had not one letter or call from my creditors. I think I may have been lucky, but the feeling is good.
Which company are you with Chris, send them a quick email to ask when they are sending it. I have started to put everything in writing/email to my IP instead of speaking to them, then I have my reply in writing incase I need it in the future.
Take Care

Morning Carol

Yes, I have e-mailed my IP about it following their response from MBNA. They don't normally send the chairman's report to debtors, but she will pop one out in the post to me tonight.

Thanks

I think I have read recently from the experts on this forum, that chairmans reports have to be sent to the debtors as well as creditors. I certainly recieved mine within 72 hrs of my meeting and had to sign it to confirm receipt of it and agreement to the IVA.

Like caraf, I received a copy of my Chairmans report 2 weeks after the meeting. This also gave details of the voting figures AND written confirmation of the (many!!) Modifications (2 copies). I was required to return one signed copy of the Modifications to my IVA Company - the other copy was for me to keep.

I would have thought that the Chairmans Report is an important item - surely everyone should receive a copy automatically?

I've signed and returned a copy of the modifications already, but not had the chairman's report - but it is coming to me now! [:)]
