I was just wondering if anubody has any experience of beneficial finance and iva's. I have been told that they are a member of the hsbc group and am worrying that they will only except 40p/£ as they hold approx 35% of our debt. Has anybody had an iva accepted by them?

They do not have a 40p in the £ hurdle rate, Martha, but will expect you to be making the very best proposal that you can afford.

Hi there we had dealings with Beneficial finance last year when we applied for an IVA we had a loan with them of £15,000 but weren't the main creditors First Direct were, they were a nasty piece of work, we had harrassing telephone calls from the area mangaer threatening us with bankruptcy as he would reject the IVA,although it had nothing to do with him it wouldn't of been his decision but we were naive at the time and hadn't found this fab website! however our IVA was accepted and they did accept our offer of 35p in £, we were lucky and made a f&f which was all sorted within a few months, so its all behind us now since Sept07.
