how much do i have to pay to declare myself bankrupt if im unemployed and on benefits

I am sure an expert will respond, but I believe it is around £485.

No - you can save the Court fees if you can demonstrate that you are in receipt of benefit income, so the costs re somewhat cheaper. Check with your local Court to be sure.
