Hi, I am now 2 months into my IVA and HSBC still havnt closed my account. They are still ringing me for payments into my account for my loan and overdraft.
I have to tell them every time they ring that I am in an IVA and give them the numbers ect.
Is this normal for them to not be told about my IVA as they didnt even vote on the day even though 70% of my debts was with them.

Hi chris and welcome to the forum

I suspect that this is simply down to slow communication within the bank and will eventually die down. Seems odd that they did not vote with that level of debt - as they tend to vote on all proposals that they receive.

Yes I thought it was a bit strange. At first I put it down to christmas post ect but im begining to wonder if any of them was contacted as only one creditor voted on the day on behalf of 2 accounts. And the others are still ringing me.
I shouldnt complain really as I got the result I wanted, just hope it all clears up soon so I can get on with things without worrying who is going to ring next.

We went with HSBC when we started our IVA in 2006 we took the basic account and we are still with them, since finding out what they do we have Lloyds ready in the background so we can do a quick transfer. So not sure how long they take to close you down.
