SORRY POSTED IN JANUARY IF ANYONE RE READING
i was just wondering if any one knows what the chances are of nationwide upgrading my account to a debit card account.
i dont want to leave the nationwide as they provide internet banking and also report on the conduct of the account to credit reference agencies which will help in the long run !! 32 months to be exact ...
i have had the account from the start of my iva and never missed a direct debit or incurred any bank charges
i have a top up debit/credit card but this seems quite expensive at times also due to work traveling it is almost impossible to top up whilst abroad and i dont want to put salary straight on to the card as it seems an expensive option ie cash machine charges etc
sorry for length of post

Providing you keep your account in a credit balance and dont have any returned D/D's etc etc then i dont see why they would not upgrade your account / card.

I have Natwest account that is a solo card and was surprised to see that most retailers in my area accept this as payment. Only one website I was on didn't accept Solo as payment too (Travelodge) so had to borrow son's debit card!
