my IP has finally sent the relevant forms for my first year review.

Got a question - how can i show how much i spend on petrol...i drive alot for work - about 100-150 miles a week but then some months 0 driving my job is reactive. Plus the petrol is going up all the time ... £105.09 this morning for unleaded! AAAAHHH . On average i spend at least £200 per month on petrol. With the current price of petrol

The problem is all my receipts (the ones i have) they dont like giving them out at petrol stations! all vary with the price of petrol

I have used http://www.vcacarfueldata.org.uk/search ... Search.asp - whihc will show you how much over on average it will cost to run you car - based on engine size fuel consumption (and all that other jargon) So i will include this with my documents.

Do IPs accept this average costing? .... aaaaahhhh i am sending myself round in cricles. [:(]

Second quick question ... what is the recommend spend for a single person for food/clothes/housekeeping!...

My job requires me to be smart! (do you think the IP will take this into account with extra spening in this area!) I do shop around to get bargins.. but there is a "corporate image" to promote.

With wage increases/promotion my orginal payment of 395 is now 595..which i have been paying for at least the last 8 months i am not sure i can manage much more!

Hi
Put an average down, based on the last year if you can with price increases built in.The site you quote would include maintenence costs and depreciation ?
You will need to put your originally agreed amounts for food and clothing plus an inflationary increase unless you can prove to your IP that costs or needs have risen more than that

i am really sorry = but how do i work out an inflationary increase?

i read online that on average food prices have risen by 12%

But on my incomr and expenditure - they put food/housekeepinga nd clothes all together

Hi
Use the Retail Price Index, currently runing at approx 4%.
As I say if you feel that you need more than that speak with your IP,however they may not agree.

CCCS recommendeed figure for housekeeping for a single person is £140 and £20 for clothes

I would very rarely use CCCS guidelines when undertaking annual reviews of my clients as the allowances are not very generous especially for single people and childless couples.

When you are in an IVA it is a really good idea to keep a record of what you have actually spent on the major areas such as food, clothing, petrol, car maintenance, medical and miscellaneous. For a start this does encourage careful budgeting and secondly you will be able to show your IP exact amounts spent at each year end.

Andy - it would be a good idea if the forum guru's could design a simple excel spreadsheet for our posters to use on a regular basis. I could help with this if you like.

I had the intention ofdoing just that but alas i havent this year. My orginal payment was 385 and nowi can increase it to 578..which has got to be good for my creditors.

Are you sure that you can afford such a high increase? Have you thought about all of the contingencies you might need to increase - such as medical expenses, car maintenance, clothing, school costs/trips etc, hairdressing.
