Following bankruptcy or prior to bankruptcy which banks, building societies, or other financial institutions including the Post Office will allow me to open a basic, cash card account. My wages have to be paid into the account and various direct debits have to be undertaken. Many Thanks.

Nationwide no longer offer accounts to undischarged bankrupts, and as far as I know Nat West won't open an account if you are bankrupt, and if you had the account before BR, they may or may not let you keep it.
As far as I know the Co-op and Barclays are the only banks who offer accounts to undischarged bankrupts. I'm with the Co-op and I can recommend them.
