i have been told my best option is to declare bankcupcy, i owe 2000 pounds, and there is no way i can pay any of the money back, as i am on benifits as a single mum of 3.. what i want to no is, what items will be taken away from me..eg tv, computer, ect and most importantly, can they take my childrens items from them, toys (they dont have any computers or electric items as they are two young) i live in a rented house, i cant drive so i dont have a car, and i have nothing to sell to pay the money back... also i would like to no how much money i will have to pay the crediors after i file for the bankcrupy, as i am finding hard to live on the money i have now, after i have paid my bills, bus fare to school ect?

Bankruptcy seems a little harsh considering your debts are quite low.
It would cost you to declare bankruptcy anyhow.
Could you not come to some arrangement with whoever you owe the money to even if its just for a couple of pounds a week?

Who has advised you to declare yourself bankrupt with debts so low? Personally I would suggest an application for an Administration Order at Court which will allow you to pay a set amount towards your debts, and then perhaps consider a Debt Relief Order when they are introduced hopefully later on this year which are specifically designed for people with low debts and no assets, and will discharge you from the debts for good.
