My partner and I are in a very bad financial situation, we have been for the last year. We are looking at bankruptcy, I don't even think I can afford to pay for it. We are in a visious circle, and time is running out. I am currently the only one working as my partner looks after my 2 young boys. There just isn't enough money to go around. I would like to pay off my debts but this is impossible. Please help?

Hi scot1 and welcome to the forum

Your partner will be able to benefit from saving £150 from the cost of bankruptcy if she is on benefits, so the cost of bankruptcy for both of you would be £820.

The CAB have a number of schemes where this could be subsidised further from a number of charitable trusts, so if you cannot afford to pay the Court costs, I suggest a visit to your local CAB might be a sensible way forward.
