Hi clause58 and welcome to the forum

I feel that you have somewhat shirked your responsibility towards this debt to a degree - spending the £500 and to use your own words avoiding the repayment. That is not the spirit of borrowing money.

I suggest that you revisit your finances and work out how much you can actually afford to offer per month - and try and get the debt repaid as soon as you can. If you are a student, perhaps you could find an evening or weekend job to provide you with more income to assist.
