I have an unsecured loan with an ex partner. He has disappeared, and I have been paying my part of the loan (un beknown to me that by doing this I now owe more than the original debt). Me and my husband are now starting the procedure of IVA. Will this debt be ok as part of the IVA? It started as a £10,000 loan and I now owe over £11,000!! Any advise?

It is correct for you to include this loan into your IVA, but your ex-partner will probably be pursued by the creditor directly thereafter.

they've been trying to find him for the past 9 years. Think he lives in Germany or roundabouts. Thanks Melanie!! We have a telephone appointment booked tonight with one of your advisors

We generally quote six to eight weeks, as we independently verify a lot of the information - but it can be done quicker depending upon the quality of the information and speed of delivery.
