I have enrolled at college part time (only once a week) to take my exams in computerised accountancy up to level 3. I have beeen doing it for 10 years but got no bits of paper to show for it so I thought it would be a good idea to get certificated.(for my computer abilities not my instabilities [:D] [;)])

I did AAT through college a few years ago. It's a good qualification to have. Do you actually work in accountancy buttercup and debbi?

No I do not yet but maybe a possible in the future.

Hi There, I've been offered a wonderful opportunity by the company to work for to do the full AAT course (paid). I just need to know one thing... on their application form you have to declare any agreement you have with creditors etc. Well we are in an IVA and this is our second year into the agreement. I just need to know whether it will affect my application. On their form they say I need to write down all details and send it in with the forms. Are they still going to accept my application? And if they do what sort of details should I put in my letter? Please help!!!! I'm really happy that I've been given this opporunity but also worried at the same time that my employer will find out about the IVA.(It's not something that I am particulary proud of...) Dear Melanie I would really appreciate your input on this. Many Thanks in advance.

The AAT have no problem with students who are subject to IVA proceedings, so fill those forms in and get studying!

Having been a single parent for many years (living on benefits which is how I accrued my debt), and having left school without any qualifications whatsover, I took any possible education course that I could ... I always think that education is speculating to accumulate in the future ... I certainly wouldn't be where I am now (university lecturer in psychology and local Minister) without the studies I have completed over the last twelve years [:)]

I was like you Debbie, left school with no qualifications, I went and did factory work, until I just after I had my third child and then thought! I can do better than this, enrolled on a computer course, enjoyed it so much, enrolled on another and another until there were no more! Then I did a teaching qualification and now teach IT to adults!

My boyfriends daughter is doing Physcology "A" level - and then off to UNI in September
I did my institute of credit management and Finance house diplomas through distance learning - only got into the financial mess when i threw hubby out...
