Hi jerry and welcome to the forum
Changing your IP, even if that were to be possible which it is not, would not change the fact that your are in arrears with the payments - although you do not probably default until there are three or more outstanding.
Was the increase in mortgage payments not built into the IVA - ie did either you or your IP given any consideration to this before the creditors meeting?
You can shop around for a better mortgage rate, but now you have an IVA on record you are bound to be penalised on the interest rate offered.
Your IVA should have included some form of contingency for emergencies such as the oven breaking down.

Hi
Your joint expenditure alowances should have allowed enough money for your wife to pay her joint debts with you,did this happen ?
Ask your IP to tag the missed two payments on the end of your 60 month IVA rather than trying to catch up with them now.
You are in danger of failing your IVA if you miss another month so speak with your IP as soon as you can.
