I do all my household budgetting using a Microsoft Excel Spreadhsheet.

Very easy to use and create and keeps me on track every month, mark of every DD that goes out of the account and compare this to what money is left in my account to make sure i have enough money.

I know of some budgeting software which is in production at the moment, and will check on the status of that in due course.

Carl - are you subject to an IVA yourself?

No - but I am very conscious of my I&E and like to know were i am at every month.

Although i am not in an IVA i do have a strict budget planner.

I use a program called Quicken that came with my first PC that I bought in 1996. However, I don't think it's available anymore. Microsoft Money has a good reputation and it is available for £22.92 fron Dabs.com http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?Qu ... 166&fb=310

I also use a spreadsheet that starts off with ny bank balance plus salary at the start of the month, then I list all my month outgoings, direct debits etc. which leaves me a surplus that tells me how much I have to spend on food, fuel etc. I know exactly where my money goes and I did pre IVA, but then I just spent more than I had!
