I think it was chris g that posted a while ago about Freecycle and how you can get rid of an find things you need for no cost, just have to pick them up.
Well I joined at the weekend as had a couple of bits of old exercise equipment I wanted to get rid of, to big and without instructions so did not want to bother with ebay. All charity shops did not want these items as they can no longer sell due to Health and Safety legislation and if the buyer hurt themselves they could sue the charity shop, I ask you nanny state gone mad!!!!!!
Could go on, but my post was about Freecycle...
The local one to me is classed as a 'high volume' group and I have had at least 150 emails a day of things offered, taken, wanted.
i did not realise that each time someone posted you got an email[:0] My inbox has never been so full!!
Anyway the main point is that people give away some great stuff eg. bikes, tvs, furniture, lighting, pc's, kids clothes and all you have to do is collect, no money changes hands....
You can also post wanted items on there if there is anything you need...
If you can cope with the never ending emails and are quick off the mark you could get some great things[:)]
As for my exercise stuff? My cousins wife wanted it i found out on an easter visit to see them[:)]
Blimy my posts get longer, sorry about that!! LOL
