Pretty much shows why the people are in charge want to create a ban. Misguided response which in my mind pretty much justifies the ban.

People sitting going round and round must be really sad individuals just to get pisssed.. Ho hum

Totally agree with the ban, should be applied to all public transport and not just in london. I've had the misfortune of being on a train late at night with a bunch of people drinking themselves stupid and being obnoxious, very intimidating unpleasant experience.

Personally I wouldn't wish a ban on long journeys on normal trains but the underground i can see why.

However, I can see it happening. It was rumoured to being brought in by Labour a few years ago. The sad thing is it's always a few that wreck it for the majority who could actually have a beer or two between say London and Glasgow without actually getting wrecked...

On my local train I doubt if it would be policed - the driver is on one end and the conductor the other, and you are lucky if you see him step out of his cab at night
