Husband I off to Manchester tomorrow to see The Police in concert! A Fathers Day 2007 present for hubby, but concert was cancelled. We've got a hotel booked for evening (ok a Travelodge for £19), we're even going shopping on Wednesday (Primark not Harvey Nicks) but I'm so looking forward to it. I get to see all my family and they provide our meals so looking forward to seeing all of them too.

Sounds like a fab day for you Lesley, hope you enjoy it all. I went to Primark for the first time last week, I'm very impressed. Bought some new jammies for £4.00![:D] Harvey Nicks is SO overrated! Enjoy The Police, Viki X

Live concerts are such good fun. I went to see Bruce Springsteen on Saturday and he was just so good, and still very sexy even at the ripe old age of 58! I felt like a teenager again!

Pah.
Never a policeman around when you need one.
I also often feel like a teenager.
I usually get a dig in the ribs and told to stop staring though.

Hmmmm, I wondered what this thread was about, police...lesley, surely not.

Enjoy lesley, I like a travel lodge, does exactly what it says on the tin, usually an asda or mcdonalds breakfast close by too. Hmmm

Not too sure about sting now though, must be getting on a bit, mind you I am watching my own hips these days. You have to smile while you still have teeth dont ya??

Melanie I'm so jealous! I really wanted to see Bruce Springsteen but I was told that the Emirates Stadium in London is hard to get to, and Cardiff was a bit far. I've always liked him and if he'd played Wembley I would have been there! I'd have loved to see him with the E Street Band!

Have a great time Lesley x

If he tours over here again I'm definitely going! Dave doesn't really like him, but I'll pay for his ticket if I have to! I might have to have a listen in the car - Born In The USA turned right up, excellent!

I once got hubbie to take me to Symphony Hall in Brum to see Michael Bolton (I'm a huge fan). He can tell you exactly how many lights there are on the ceiling above the stage (135 - and he had to count them several times just to make sure!) He didn't enjoy it, as you have probably gathered!

Took my stepdaughter-in-law last year - she loved it! Wish I could afford to go this year!
