Well I'm 40 on Monday!! Getting closer. To add to that all my friends are abroad on holiday.. been feeling really down, thinking getting left behind in life..[:(] was thinking sick of never having money and can't really do much.. THEN I REALISED AND SLAPPED MYSELF - I'VE NEVER HAD ANY MONEY.. SO HEY HO GET ON WITH IT!!!
Anyway sorry haven't been around as much, but I'm snapping out of it.. I've got my health and my family and will soon be debt free.. unlike half of my friends who I know are away courtesy of Mr Plastic!![:)]
Hope everyone is ok and hunky dory!![:)]

Hi Ang
Sorry you have been feeling so down, we all do sometimes. Its like being in a different world to everyone else at times. My sisters are all going on a cruise, last week when I met up with them, they left me in the pub with the kids and spent an hour in the travel agents booking it. I wouldnt go even if I could so I dont know why I was feeling left out. I think this summer weather isnt helping. Its like winter this morning and yet again I am worrying about the washing, my electric bill is going to be sky high. Mr. Plastic is a mugs game and I am glad to be me without it all.
Happy birthday for Monday, life isnt over, its just begining.
Love and hugs

Hello Ang,
Know just how you feel.
My wife and I work very had and we still feel at times we are not getting any results.
My friends all have nice houses and new cars and go on fantastic holidays.
Not long for us to go now with the IVA so I just keep saying to myself "A FEW MOMENTS OF FUN CAN COST YEARS OF PAIN".
Would I swap my situation for theirs, NO WAY. To be dept free will be wounderful so you hang on in there, its all worth it.
Regards

Hey Ang, really sorry that you're feeling a little bit blue. As Ladyh has said, we'll all be partying on here for your 40th. It's perfectly normal to go through times of being fed up, you're probably still in the IVA hangover stage and it doesn't help that it's prime holiday season. All my friends are going away in the next week or so and it RUBBISH! You know, I bet we end up having a fab summer here and that's what you need, a bit of sunshine to brighten you up. Happy birthday for Monday hun. Big hug from me.[:)] X

Ang we all have these times of feeling low, must be an ang thing, lily knows I havent been myself recently, been feeling quite similar.
I dont think the weather is helping, as vicki says hopefully a bit of sunshine soon will brighten us all.
I have friends as you say all going on their foreign hols and all using that plazzy to pay for it. In a few years we are all going to be doing the same but when we get home we wont owe anyone we will have paid for it ourselves. I always think of the shiver I used to get when we used credit for something and the bill came in and the payment had gone up.
I look at how I worried constantly pre iva and then how stress free I am now I am in an iva. No, as you say we dont get to do a lot but I always look and see how much more I have than others and a loving husband and family or friends are all that matters at the end of the day.
Pick yourself up dust yourself off and look forward to Monday, gawd I have 50 coming up next year ( I'm going to get letters from saga like steve does) !!
Love and a big hug from me too.
Ang xxx

Blimey Ang, 50 you so dont look it. I must be the only person in the world who does not like holidays, I hate being away from home..... Well a couple of days or so and I am OK. I dont know if its just me but after 4 days away I am snapping at everyone, its like a personality transplant.
We will all have to have a virtual drink for Angela. Dress up and party.

Ang, 40 ain't so bad. You're as young as you feel. Enjoy your birthday, it's an excuse to be spoilt and pampered.

I agree with Lily, you certainly look good for your age Ang.
Other Ang, in a few years time you will be debt free and perhaps giving debt advice to those friends.
We all have off days but i'm sure you will bounce back. Keep your chin up mate xxxx

I kicked myself up the ass and thought, get on with it, nobodies died!!
Ang you don't look 50 at all.
I'm going to the theatre on monday so will log on when i get in and see how many bloopers have been typed with all your wine drinking!! (especially LadyHs typing[:I])

Word of warning about indian head massage, I had one last year, the guy nearly pulled my head off..... Mind you, he was probably a psychopathic sadist...or he had had an argument with his Mrs. Either way, I didnt like it too much and my hair afterwards, hedge and backwards sprung to mind. A few hours later, I really did feel good, like seriously relaxed, or was that down to the painkillers I had taken for my broken neck?
