My Grand daughter had an earache and wanted a painkiller. She tried in vain to take the lid off the bottle. Seeing her frustration, I explained it was a childproof cap and I'd have to open it for her. Eyes wide with wonder, Katy Louise asked: "How does it know it's me?"

Bless her! I can't wait for my two to be talking properly. Eldest is two but is about 6-8 months behind, she has a few words now which is great. Youngest is still an ickle babby at 9 months.

You'll regret you ever said that Angel ... Once they start they will never shut up till they are about 14. then the dreaded teen sulk manifests itself [:D][:D][:D]

you are soooo right Ray...somewhere round about 15 or so they get kidnapped by aliens...and dont return till about 18 or so...they speak klingon or somesuch language
at each and every stage in their life we seem to wish they were onto the next thing...looking back on my three biggies...i sometimes think i wish i could have frozen time and just lingered a bit more...
i am desperate for a grandchild...want to be a granny more than anything in the world...that includes being debt free .!!!LOL...

Everyone tells me that...but it is hard when she is behind her peers. I was talking at 10 months and assumed she would be the same!
She is getting there though..I reckon she has about 30 or so words.. unfortunately some of them are 'sweeties' 'Cbeebies' and 'Iggle Piggle'

Lo. This made me laugh. I can't wait to have children of my own. At the minute I have 3 step children. We have decided to wait until after IVA has been completed to start anything.

Hi Angel
My daughter didn't start talking properly till she was 30 month. Now she's a Flight Sergeant in the RAF and spends all day shouting her gob off at new squaddies.[8D][8D]

Michael, long time no see! Hope you are ok.
Angelrainbow, my stepgrandaughter who is almost two can almost hold a conversation with you. The one who is 4 and going to school in September has a dreadful vocabulary. She cannot pronounce a lot of her letters properly and half the time cannot string two sentences together coherently. It's not that she's thick, just lazy I think.
So it just goes to show that they all develop at their own pace.
For myself, I was told I could talk intelligibly before I was one - and I haven't shut up since! For those of you who have my email address, my nickname is in that!
