Hi all - just want to let off some steam, so hope you don't mind.

I've had one of those very long awful days in work today and now I've had to bring work home. Thats why I'm still tapping away. 99% of times I love my job but today grrrrrrrrrrrrr it was neverending (well not really 'cos it did end eventually). Had do a disciplinary and it went downhill from there.

Anyway I'm working and browsing so hopefully there'll be some posts to cheer me up [:D]

Sorry folks but it was either type on here or take it out on hubby and the cats [:D]

Well you asked for it.

Well the day was fine, kids back at school, decided to go and do the lawns and felt very in my 'zone' bliss, no interuptions, all well and good, peeled and prepared the dinner (lamb roast). Noticed my beautiful cat Cole, hadnt moved since last night, not even for nummie nummies, so I took him out of bed and placed him next to his food, he couldnt stand or walk on his back leg, phoned the vet, appointment at 5. It was 4.20

Rushed out to put the lawn mower away etc and put the meat in, phone fell out of bra, smashed into pieces and wont turn on. Got meat out of fridge, stank to high heaven, no way I could cook that. Desperately tried to put the phone back together, no time but still tried, sodded it, went to vet, went to shops for sausages, for tea. On the way back someone said they are throwing phones out in Argos, popped there, got one, very quick and cheap. Vet said cat had abcess on leg from a bite, gave him injections (have to return on Friday). Came back, very stinky kitchen, lamb in bin. On the way back it peed down, lawn mower, strimmer soaked. Cooked sausage and mash. Finally opened the new phone, its shocking, luminous pink (its black on the box) and it serves me right because I threatened to give my son a bright pink lunch box today if he didnt get to bed last night.

So I have been to get some smokes and sod it, and I got some biscuits too. I also got my munchy poorly boy some cat milk and special food in little packets and he loved it. I soooo wasnt going to college 5 mins ago but I have just had a word with myself.

Oh Lily, what an afternoon. I hope your puddy cat feels better soon. Pink is my fave colour but I don't like bright pink either, hope you get it swapped. Hugs from me. XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Thanks Viki, I am stuck with it, thats all argos had left, I cant manage without a phone. I am just having to be a shocking pink lily in the phone dept. I have managed to avoid finding out who went in big brother last night, so I am going to watch it now while pinky winky charges up. I just hope I havent lost all of my phone numbers, I cant turn my old phone on at all.

Hopefully they will be all be in your sim card, not like mine, I thought they were but they were stored to the phone memory, my phone broke the other week and I lost all of them. I don't have half of them written down so a bit peeved. Your pink phone will fit right in at college.....guaranteed![:D][:X] X

Well Lily after reading the trials of your day, do you know, mine wasn't so bad after all [:D][:D]

Dare I ask why did you put the phone in your bra??? I'm hoping the answer is as simple as no pockets but who knows [:D]

Seriously though, I hope Cole gets well soon and you have to go to college tomorrow! Is it a full time course?

Thanks for cheering me up x

Yes I do just bung it in bra re poos. I had this timer thingy going so I knew I would have time for everything. Had lots of jobs, even though I have been off for something like 18 months or so, I just wanted everything done today. Cole is fine, seems to have made a miraculous recovery after costing me 26 quid for two injections...I so cant get on with pinky winky, I cant figure out how to put the dictonary on. Its only a part time course, I dont know if I actually start tomorrow or what I have to go in to enrol.

Ray your words on the other post were lovely, they made me feel so much better, I'm going to go with the flow. Back to school at 40.

Anyway, Julie, I hope you have managed to sort out some me time in your evening. I also hope tomorrow is going to be much, much better.
