I'm obsessed with The Tudors and as Henry VIII had so many issues with who should succeed him should he not have a son it set me off thinking.......
Lets just say that William is King of England and has married Kate. Kate is pregnant and has twins (boys), who would be heir to the throne? Would it be the one born minutes first? What is she has twins and its a girl born first followed by a boy? Does the girl become Queen or the boy become King?
Hmmmmmmmmm............[8)]

DM - this is food for thought. I think under the current royal status, the boy would have priority over the girl. Thats tradition, but I think there was talk of revising it a while ago?

I love the Tudors also DM ... such an exciting period! I keep meaning to get a trip in to Heaver Castle where Anne Boyleyn lived.
The male heirs currently take precedence over the female and the oldest twin would inherit.

Hello!
I had a great week Ray. Been jumping out of a mock Boeing 747 with my life jacket and loud hailer, allgood fun.
Glad others love The Tudors, I'm running a 10km at Hampton court this month, then I am off to Hever Castle too, as I have never been there.
Interesting about the twins thing, especially if born by c-section, the surgeon chooses which twin to remove first, thus dictating our future monarch!
Anyway, who thinks Anne will get her head chopped off this week? Will she say the famous line "But I only have a little neck"?
Also, its not just Anne that gets it, without giving too much away!

Good luck with the 10k DM - that was the one I was hoping to do as I'm just down the road, but it won't be happening now!

Oh No! It would have been lovely to have met you whilst trying not to have a cardiac arrest.
My eldest daughters God mummy lives in Hampton, which pleases me no end as it is such a great place to go and stay (and we do...often!). I love that area, all those lovely houseboats, if only I could win the lottery!
