I had a fantastic day at work yesterday, i worked in paediatric A&E, we had lots of poorly tiny babies, and i got loads of cuddles.I felt on top form, not only looking after the little ones, but taking care of mums and dads as well. I've been asked to apply for a post with the paediatric outreach team, looking after children within their own homes. I am seriously considering it. Our matron gave me some excellent feedback from a parent, and my nursing colleagues said that i really made their day something else. I shall shut up blowing my own trumpet now, however being able to give 100% at work no matter what else is happening elsewhere is what i strive for, and thrive off.I'm really chuffed.Other than that, apart from the odd panic about my IVA failing, and the crap that comes with all that business, my birthday is on Sunday, my colleagues brother is running the 100 metres in the birds nest on sunday morning, at the paralympics, and i'm out for a lovely lunch with my friends in the afternoon, perfick !

Morning Quark. Nice to see you so upbeat. It sounds as though you had a wonderful day yesterday - pity the babies had to be ill though, but it does sound as though you have found your niche there.

Happy birthday for Sunday (in case I forget!), and I hope your colleagues brother does well in his race.

Lets hope the weather bucks up.

Yeah, of course it's a pity that they were sick, we were able to send most of the little ones home after a few hours, it's still amazing how quickly babies pick up after receiving treatment. Children are very resilient aren't they. It's just nice to spend time with them and parents, all working together to get them better, sometimes lots of reassurance is needed, and it's just well, very nice to offer that. Sunday should be a nice day altogether and thanks for the birthday wish.
