Good morning all .... Jack Frost has been working over time up here and the Wizzmobile looks like an igloo, but i gotta defrost it cos I gotta do me shopping. I checked me sprouts this morning and they're nearly ready ... a few more weeks on a low heat and they'll be just right on the 'Day'. Anyhoo, onto today's little sniggerette ....

Santa Claus, like all pilots, gets regular visits from the Aviation Authority, and it was shortly before last Christmas when the examiner arrived.

In preparation, Santa had the elves wash the sled and bathe all the reindeer. Santa got his logbook out and made sure all his paperwork was in order.

The examiner walked slowly around the sled. He check the reindeer harnesses, the landing gear, and Rudolf's nose. He painstakingly reviewed Santa's weight and balance calculations for sled's enormous payload.

Finally, they were ready for the test ride. Santa got in and fastened his seatbelt and shoulder harness and checked the compass. Then the examiner hopped in carrying, to Santa's surprise, a shotgun.

"What's that for?" asked Santa incredulously.

The examiner winked and said, "I'm not supposed to tell you this, but on takeoff you have to lose an engine ."

Have a great Saturday and keep watching the skies .... [:D]

Good morning Ray [:D][8][8][8]

You mentioned your wizzmobile yesterday and I thought it was your mobile phone. I thought that you had left it on the window sill or something and it had gotten frozen or something... how blonde am I?

Today I couldnt understand, why you needed your mobile for shopping then the penny dropped, you mean your car[:D][:D].

I am still in bed, looking out of the window I can see the graves covered in thick fog,its really quite peaceful or eerie, depending on your way of thinking.

Nice and peaceful in the house too, everyone still sleeping.

Happy Saturday everyone.

LOL! I like that one Ray :)

We've been up with the larks. Downside of having teenage boys who play football! Still, in the warm now with a hot cuppa :)

Have a good day everyone.

[:D][:D]Afternoon Ray and everyone...It's very foggy and frosty here today-looks like it might snow!! Dm-i hope you have as much fun putting your tree up as i did!! Ours is one with individual colour coded branches that has to be built, and every year i get stuck in thinking 'oh it won't take me long' but then i end up getting all the different size branches mixed up & it takes hours!!! But of course,it's worth it in the end[:)]..Anyway have fun[:D][:D]xx

My mother had one like that Tori but I put all the branches on wrong and Mom liked it, saying it looked more real.

We have a real tree in a pot every year and we give them names, planting them into the garden after Christmas. Last years was called Willie, I wont say why unless someone asks.

We are going out to look at trees after lunch but I dont want one yet as I have just put my lounge all beautiful and I want to keep looking at it for another week, as I love it.

That tree sounds too much like hard work to me! Ours comes in three seperate sections and the branches just fall open when it's up.

Daughter and boyfriend have arrived for the weekend, and it has been decided that the tree will go up today - much to hubbys disgust! If it was left to him nothing would happen in our house.

There is now much arguing and swearing going on![:D][:D]

It had a long droopy bit at the top and two ball like bud branches just hanging below. I had to get a new bigger fairy to put on it. She didnt crack her face though, Willie is doing very well just outside our front window.

Jan, sounds like you have got the christmas spirit sorted right out there then, eh?

[:D][:D]Lily!!!!
Every year i keep saying we'll get a fibre optic tree to make things a bit easier, but i just can't bear to part with my 'takes ages to put together tree'!! We've had it since i was little and when my mum and dad said they were taking it to the tip i was horrified and so claimed it for myself[:D]And even though it's getting on a bit it's still in perfect nick...Jan-christmas just wouldn't be the same without a good old festive argy bargy[:D]!!
