Well here we go ... another countdown ... another load of silliness to brighten these dank dark mornings. Here's the first Valentine groanette to start us off ....

Jim asked his friend, Wizz, whether he had bought Mrs Wizz anything for Valentine's Day.

'Yes,' came the answer from Wizz who was a bit of a chauvinist, 'I've bought her a belt and a bag.'

'That's very kind of you,' Jim said, 'I hope she'll appreciate the thought.'

'So do I," replied Wizz," and hopefully the vacuum cleaner will work better now.'

Very good Ray, wish you hadn't reminded me it is so close though. I suspect Mrs Size shall be dropping hints any day now.....

Regards.

Hope you are feeling better today. Weather is awful.

I can honestly say that I really couldn't care less about Valentines Day. I think it's a load of overpriced twaddle!

I've no doubt I will have loads of posters come down on me now like a ton of bricks!!!!!!!!

I'm with you Jan!!

I wouldn't mind so much if I ever got a present, but it is just a devious female plot to get more pressies. As is Mother's day come to think of it, lots of pressies and pampering then as well. What do we poor blokes get in return on Fathers Day? Not much is the general answer. Grrrrrr

Regards.

I agree with you Jan! I must admit I get a bit jealous when the other girls at work get flowers, but I don't want Dave paying over the odds just because it's Valentine's Day! There's nothing to stop him buying me some at other times of the year though!

Size 5, that is so true! I always tell my daughter to not spend a lot on Mothers Day. It is just an excuse to put prices up.

When my daughter was born, my parents were given an option - you can have a card from her on Mothers and Fathers Day or Granparents Day. You're not having both!

I can't remember the last time my hubby bought me flowers!

The only thing I used to do at Easter was buy Easter eggs when hubbys kids were small, and our daughter was small.

We send each other birthday cards (wouldn't do that if it was left to hubby!) and that's it.

[:D][:D]Hope you are feeling a bit better today Ray[:)]..
We still send each other cards on valentines day..and i've had flowers delivered to work..but i will admit that we're a right old pair of lovey dovey's[:X][:D]!!..

My mum even sends us a card on valentines day[:I]but she's done that ever since we were little..and i definitely won't be buying any easter eggs this year as it just gets silly and ends up costing a fortune!!..

I am looking forward to pancake day though[:p][:D]
