I remember taking my daughter out shopping at Binns one Christmas Eve. We went to the then brand new Computer department. This was in the early 1980's

Wizzette drooled over the new Aquarius Computer. I said to the sales peep, 'What a marvellous toy. I'll buy it.'

The girl behind the counter looked pleased and murmured, 'Great, I'm sure your daughter will really love it.'

So I replied with a glint in his eye, 'Maybe you're right. In that case I'll take two.'

Have a great day xxx

Thanks Wizzz.

I think all stores belonging to House of Fraser changed their name to that didn't they? We used to have Rackhams in Birmingham (very upmarket, hence didn't use it often!) and that is now called House of Fraser.

Ooh!!, I don't remember the Aquarius Computer Ray?..We had a ZX Spectrum back in the early 1980's.[8D]

I've not heard of Binns or Kendals either but I have visited Rackhams before now!, or rather I've used it as a cut through to get to the other side of town!,a bit too posh for me![:D]

Same here DM!

I remember going to look at some posh frocks once in my lunch hour - was never going to buy any, but the looks I got were reminiscent of 'Pretty Woman'. I didn't stay long.

We used to have a Commodore 64.

Do you mean Ghostbusters Ronald? We used to have that and spent hours playing on the computer.

Sadly it went a long time ago.
