Finally managing to get something sorted about the summer do.

It will be held in my garden, probably on the 31st July (there is another possible date if this is not convenient for a lot of people).

There are a few hotels local to us (we're in the Midlands) for people who want to stay overnight and transport to and from will be arranged.

We would like numbers of people interested asap so we can sort out food and drink.

I won't post the address on the forum, if you want to come, add me as a Frugal Friend and I will do the same and send you the details.

Melanie has kindly agreed to sponsor this do.

My wedding Anniversary Jan!

I would love to come and will hopefully source a cheap Travelodge nearby, I don't drink so can ferry myself to the hotel.

Jan, a Travelodge is good for me, just tell me via email which postal code I should be looking at and I would hope to get one for £19.00, I've just got a night in Manchester for August 7th for that night so the following week I couldn't make it sorry x

I think I'm going to have to say no to kids at the moment - if a lot come we might be a bit cramped for space, especially if we have to move inside.

Plus, I have two dogs, who, whilst they are child friendly, are inclined to be boisterous and I would hate anyone to get hurt.

Email on it's way Lesley.

Got your email Jan, I won't book just yet as there are some for £19.00 per night but if it's moved to the next week, I definitely can't make it and then it would be a waste so I'll wait for confirmation but how nice of you to give your garden and possible inside of your house up (dependant on weather) and of course to Melanie for her generosity. x

Oh ok Jan. I understand. I will have to decline the wonderful offer in that case. We do not have anyone to look after the kids at that time of year.

I hope you all have a wonderful time x

I'm sorry Kath, if we could have got a bigger venue there wouldn't have been a problem.

Dependent upon numbers, you might be able to bring them, but I won't know for a while.

Helen, I'm so sorry you won't be able to come! We were looking forward to seeing you again.
