Yesterday I left my little village and drove to hull to see a movie. After buying my ticket, I stopped at the sweets and drinks counter buy some popcorn and a Kiora.

Handing the attendant £4.50, I couldn't help but comment, "The last time I came to the movies, popcorn was only 15 pence."

"Well, sir," the attendant replied with a grin, "You're really going to enjoy yourself. We have sound and colour now.."

Beautiful day innit xxx

Yes, things have changed.
Watching a movie is considered a luxury nowadays (plus pop corn etc).
I far prefer going to the theater though. I think a live performance worths more the money you pay than a recorded one. My last "undertaking" was An Evening with David Sedaris a show described by The Guardian as "90 minutes of joy", more about it at http://www.eventim.co.uk/.
