Now I like selling on Ebay, but I'm fed up with it being so geared towards the buyer rather than the seller! I sold a wedding dress yesterday (I changed my mind about it!) but I was only allowed to put up to £4.00 for postage but it actually cost me over £7 to post!
Grrrrr!

that's not fair...I have given up using EBAY as their charges kept creeping up and up ......

I was really pleased with how much I got for the wedding dress until I realised how much was going in Ebay and Paypal fees!
Still I suppose it's better than keeping it - I'm only planning on one wedding!

I get annoyed with the postal.charges and it also makes me mad that I can't put negative feedback on for none paying bidders. I've just had one of those so did what others had done and put a post anyway and then barred him as a bidder.
Glad you sold your dress.

what you do is say on the item listing that the postage will be more, make sure you use large bold underlined font, people do it all the time as £4 is max for clothing! but beware of the buyers marking you down for this, they now leave positive FB buit put low stars, ebay will restrict you if you have more than 2 low star ratings! what you can do also is just put a higher start price to cover postage but i have got stuff when the listing says the real postage cost, take care, do

you should always report non paying buyers to ebay, I am glad you banned this person from bidding on your items, good for you!!

I always do - got another possible non payer at the moment who will be reported if he doesn't cough up and will be banned by me!!! I have quite a list now.
I hate time wasters - if you don't want to buy an item then don't bid!!

I agree that Ebay has become a minefield for Sellers with an increasing number of NPB's, timewasters, changes to the way feedback is left, plus high charges from both Paypal & Ebay which has given trading for Sellers a bumpy ride, and over the years Ebay has evolved into a Buyer biased website - I still buy most of my stuff on Ebay but I won't sell anything on the website again, and haven't for nigh on 4 years now, it's not as good as it was !

I agree Pelder. I've sold some wedding bits on there as I know I won't get anything for them at a boot sale but I rarely sell on there now.

My buyer has now paid but I do agree about the high fees and I get so annoyed when you can't put negative feedback for someone who doesn't pay!!!!
