The only thing I haven't tried yet is the epilepsy drugs which the hospital advised to try and avoid at all costs as the side effects can be quite severe. So I'm hoping this will be the lesser of two evils. I'm not totally comfortable about having my forehead paralysed but the pain can be so debilitating I'm willing to give anything a go!! Good luck with it Footiemad! I guess it depends on which PCTs offer it. Although private health insurance may cover it now it is NHS approved. x

I had epilepsy drugs for trapped nerve, other than they made e sooooo tired in the first few weeks and my hands made involuntary movements all was good!!! They definitely worked on the trapped nerve and I didn't have any mgranes even though I didn't realise they were good for getting rid of them too! Don't believe all the things you read without trying first ! For me needles are a last resort as I hate them.

I take anti-epilepsy medication for my fibromyalgia and the symptoms were bad for a few weeks. Now all is good and the pains have all but disappeared.

Good luck BOL hope it relieves your symptoms and I'd have botox believe me and I haven't got migraine! shallow that I am!

Good luck BOL - we looked into this treatment for my daughter, but her migraines are abdominal based so not suitable.

On a cosmetic front, I would have botox and a whole lot more of "quick fixes" if I could afford it...or if the NHS would pay for it [:)]
