Ok...so people in an IVA cannot generally afford the weekly fees charged by weight loss clubs.....so I am proposing we hold a virtual club here on the forum starting on Saturday 29 December.....the process....we weigh in once a week, and share one positive thing of the week and one negative thing of the week....all to do with weight loss to encourage others......whose up for it ????

Very good idea...I've managed since Feb this year to join weightwatchers and pay £21.45 a month, coming out my allowances.
It's worked, From 2nd Feb this year, I've lost 76lbs or 5st 6lbs, well chuffed!!

I would like to join the Weight Loss Club too. Have a lot of weight to lose (around 7st) and really, really, struggling so some online, virtual support would be much appreciated.

The support of others is very important and helps enormously.

That's brilliant Susie.

I lost 16.5lb at WW for my wedding and I'm going to go back after Christmas - my leader has said she will put my card to one side so I can pick up where I left off rather than starting again. I need the motivation of being weighed at class each week to make stick to it.

I am the same, its the thought of standing on the scales and not loosing anything...it's like going up infront of a school teacher and getting shouted at! Obviously my leader doesn't shout but it's the fear, and it keeps me on track, aiming for 84lbs before Xmas and that will be 6 stone exactly, still got another 9 stone to go but maybe this time next year, i'll be closer to that :)

Susie fantastic achievement - hoping you can share some of your success tips with others......maybe we should start before Christmas ....i was trying to buy myself a little bit of time and enjoyment over xmas...but seeing as Weightwatchers has been going ok for me in the last three weeks (7lb loss in three weeks)since I joined maybe we should go for it as of this Saturday !!!!

the more the merrier....the more hints and tips we can all get the fun it will be....my question to you all is...how do you get motivated after being at work all day, home at 6pm to exercise ????

I think the only way you will be motivated is to find something you enjoy doing. I love cycling and will start that again in the spring. I'm planning on getting the Wii Fit out again and using that in the evening (I'd recommend EA Sports Active) but it's on the back burner at the moment as I've still got bad ribs after my bout of laryngitis!

Yeah Skippy my thought was the Wii Fit board again...but that was all it was....a thought ! Trying to persuade Iain to put the Wii upstairs in our room so I can go up there and do whatever in the "private" of my own room .....there are some things I really don't want to share....ski jumping for one as my backside sticks out something chronic !
