Does anybody suffer from panic attacks and if so what do you find helps. I'm going crazy at moment with them and taken to walking streets at one am. It doesn't help that I go to work at four thirty am and don't get home from work till four pm.

Please, please, please go and see your doctor.
I've been suffering anxiety like that for years and never confided in anyone about how much I was struggling with it. Recent issues at work mean't I had to face up to the fact I wasn't coping with my anxiety issues and I've been to see my GP. She has prescribed me some anti-anxiety medication that is helping a lot.

I agree with stepping stones . Do seek professional help and do be assertive when you ask for help .

I haven't experienced this but it sounds awful so do seek professional help as I'm sure they can help, maybe some relaxation techniques too

Hi Wickerwish - yes I do they are horrible and very scary and also very hard for my loved ones to understand!! I have suffered on and off for 15 years since I was 20 and they were at there worst when we got our IVA accepted in Feb I was off work for 3 months after this mainly as I have extremely bad dizzy spells which actually stop me going out sometimes for fear of fainting or collapsing they are very scaryand unfortunately you experience so many different symptoms with it it makes it very hard to accept they are panic attacks!! you need to visit your doctor if you have not already there is no quick fix though as it can take a good couple of months to start to feel better with the medication I started taking mine again this January and I still have the odd day when I feel bad but definitely feel so much better although I have now been advised to seek counselling as there is obviously an underlying reason with me I start with them when bad things happen but also when I have had happy times in my life it can trigger them - the mind is a very strange thing.
You need to take it easy have as much sleep as possible try to avoid alcohol ect if you can it can make them worse and please visit your doctor. Hope you are feeling better soon xxx
