Hi all, just wanted to express our gratitude to Freeman Jones and their efficiency in completing our IVA. It's been a tough 5 years but we have finally got through it! We had no equity in our property so didn't have to extend for a year although we did have some additional money to pay due to overtime. We claimed PPI (which wasn't specified in our proposal that we must) which was paid to our creditors as additional payments and Freeman Jones allowed us to keep the interest incurred which enabled us to pay off additional money owed. We made our last payment at the end of February and today received our completion certificate!! We are over the moon!!
I would definitely recommend an IVA to anyone considering one. Be upfront and honest about income and expenditure. Although money has been tight over the last 5 years, we have learnt to budget and live to our means and prioritise certain things. Freeman Jones have been great with us and although we have had a small period were communication on their part wasn't fab, they sorted it and made sure things were passed on correctly from then on.
Also this forum has been a great source of information, thankyou.
