Not sure how I am feeling or should be feeling, found out last week that we paid our final payment of our IVA.

I phoned our IP to see what was happening as we were due to pay our last payment 1st Dec 2015, found out that we had paid our last payment 1st Nov 2015. I was told that I needed to send in mortgage redemption statement & house valuation as they needed to see how much equity we have. I sent those in. Yet again I had to phone up to chase what is happening. Got told that looking at the figures, we have no equity so therefore it will be sent to closures team. This process could then take another 6 months.

How am I supposed to feel???? I thought that once the last payment was taken we would feel ecstatic, no I can't say that We do. I really don't feel like celebrating, I just feel deflated that although we are not paying anymore it is another 6 months at least before it is finally over.

Is it normal to feel like this.????

It's because you know its not over yet and you don't know what your IVA company will do in the meantime.

When you have your cc that might be different.

I really hope so. The not knowing what is happening is annoying.

I feel the same mouse. I'm at same stage as you. Made my last payment 3 Nov and told my IVA will take couple of months to sort out creditor claims and any PPI ( but I know I don't have any) - we are almost there and I plan to keep chasing things up every few weeks.,

Enjoy the extra spending power - just in time for Xmas! He he

Winter blues, I am scared to spend anything.... just in case it has all been a big mistake , we have learnt a very valuable lesson throughout our IVA....looking forward to the day when the postman brings news that it has finally finished. #128512;
