My old man had put a lot of his pension money into their shares and brought them when they were £8 a piece.

He recently sold them in disgust as they tumbled and said he will never invest in them again. I told him about their views with debtors and made him even more annoyed.

Their shares are in yo yo state at around £7.20 and if it even hits £5, this Bank will go into melt down! Moderate Investors will dump the shares as they have, with only those taking big risk buying them hoping for a eventual windfall.

Their glory days had their shares priced at £12.

Northern Rock doesn't have much friendly investors outthere, as many have lost some money!

So why don't they take ivas and cut their overall corporate losses??

With the interest rate the way they are, they are going to be in this state for quite a while!
