First port of call for you would be to speak to the mortgage company as to what the situation is. It may have already been repossessed in which case you will be pursued for the debt.

Let us know how you get on.

Regards.

If the house is already boarded up, then it would suggest to me that it has already been repossessed. A quick call to the mortgage company would verify this for you.

Hi Bubbles,

You may find that even though your debts are small compared to some people, your credit record is already blemished.

Best thing would be to check with any of the credit reference agencies to see what is on your record.

As for your little boy, I would get in touch with CSA and see if they can trace him. He is entitled to money from his dad even if he doesn't see him.

Hi Bubbles, sorry only just caught up with this post again, that's the problem when it drops down the list!

There are three agencies, and you will have to pay for your check.

http://www.equifax.co.uk

http://www.experian.co.uk

I can never remember who the third one is, but I am sure someone will see this and post.

You can either order your report online, or there will be ways to contact them listed on the site.

Hope this helps

Thanks Viki, I knew that you knew it and had posted it before, but I couldn't remember which thread it was on!

I've sent you an email by the way.

the best yo can do is getting always a second opinion and usually the serious companies always give the first consultation for free

Hi Terricarter. I have had to remove your sig, as this is against forum policy ---- if you wish to become an Industry Expert, please contact Admin.

Regarding free advice: Most reputable companies give free initial advice and will, indeed, take you all the way up to the creditors meeting without charge. After this all fees are taken from the agreed IVA repayments.
