Goldfish have today called yet again to once again remind me i have not made payment to them HOW MANY MORE CALLS !!!
We know nothing of you Iva and need payment NOW...Told them sorry i am unable to do this....You have to speak to my supervisor Who said the same we need to have a holding payment NOW.. If not this will affect our decision on your IVA,and we might send debt collectors ? Do they need to go to court before they can do this ?

Yeah, they all read from the same script John, don't worry, the people on the phone will NOT be the ones who vote and it'll take months for them to actually send debt collectors. I'm sure your IVA will be sorted soon, try and ignore them. X

yes its a nightmare the phone calls at the start but when its accepted all this stops shortly after and the people you are actually talking to will be a totally different department than the one that looks at the iva`s just scare tactics your doing the right thing just say i am in the process of an iva and give ip`s contact details.but it will soon be over then the letters and phone calls stop.[:)]

I've never known anyone yet have the debt collectors round, the callers are just out to get their commission, and, as Viki says, they are not the ones who vote on your IVA. They are just mindless drones trying to bully you into paying.
Don't let 'em get to you!

They are trying it on. Stand your ground and don't make any payments. Tell them to stop harassing you and to contact your IP directly.
Once your in the IVA though they are not allowed to call you.

these are just scare tactics, like vicki says they wont be the ones voting on your iva and i doubt very much they will send doorstep collectors, we had pretty much the same threats when we were waiting for our iva to be approved and nothing materialised, they are just trying to squeeze money out of you!

Mercers wanted to know if it was ok for them to ask where I worked. I told them it was ok to ask, but no way was I telling them! They didn't pursue that one.
They'll try anything won't they?

I suggest that you stop picking up their calls John. You do not need to be treated to this sort of abuse, and they should be following the banking code which requires fair treatment for their customers.
