I paid my last IVA payment on 28 May 2008 and are waiting for final 'clearance' of my IVA to come through.
Have actually just started to look to change jobs and am thinking of applying for arole in Barclays bank.
Perhaps it's speculative but does anyone think me having been in an IVA will mean they will find me unemployable at a High Street Bank?
Any comments would be appreciated.

Well done for finishing your IVA. It may be worth making an anonymous call to them and seeing what there criteria is as I know they can be funny about people in IVA's/Bankruptcy. As you probably know they will credit score you and it will still show on your record for 6 years from the start of your IVA

Hi
I very much doubt that you will be successful as the IVA will be on your credit file for six years from the start date,as Ray states.
Do let us know how you get on and good luck

It is worth a go as I understand that some banks have relax the issue of credit searches on potential employees. This is my understanding from people I know that work in some of the large banks.

Maybe they would look upon it favourably that the IVA was completed successfully????
