Hey bigboss, welcome to the forum. Sorry you're having problems, it is difficult to change so I suggest you email your IP directly and voice your concerns. If you want to post a few more details, the experts can help. Viki X

The short answer is No.

The long answer is: Your new IVA provider i.e. Debt Free Direct, would have to call a creditors' meeting to approve a variation to the terms of the IVA, namely that someone else takes over the running of the arrangement, unless there's a conflict of interest I can't see any reason why they would want to do that.

If you have grounds for complaint against your new IP and this cannot be resolved with the IP directly, then you can refer the matter to their licensing authority. As an IP can potentially have their licence revoked by their licensing authority, threats to complain there usually get taken very seriously.

Why do you not want to be with DFD ? What have they done to you - or is it just the publicity they receive is poor on some occasions ??? DFD are our IVA providers and have been very supportive and we have had enough issues to sink a battle ship in our first year, but they have always been their to respond to us in writing, by phone or by email!

Give them a chance!!!

Just a point from me for what it is worth - you generally need your IP more when things are going wrong than when they are running smoothly. When deciding to choose an advisor, it is often a good idea to try and find out what their policy is on continuing client care once the IVA has been accepted as well as at the outset.
