Hi everyone having a rough time of it at the moment . Just when you think everything is running smoothly again yet another hiccup . Got our ivas approved Jan 08,everything then started to go wrong from the onset.Car blew up, moved house, fridge went bang. So this resulted in being one month behind in payments. I took advice from MELANIE (as always)spoke to ip at Clearstart, and he is putting forward viaration on hubbys iva .Sent off signed paperwork , rang to speak to ip again ,Clearstart office now closed. They are going over to DFD.I have had no letter confirming this as of yet ,but other people on the forum have i believe. Then just to top it all the car we got to replace the one that blew up now needs 4 new tyres.Im fed up,upset and im begining to wonder if we are jinxed, and whether an iva is really for us at all.Ive got to go food shopping tom which is something else im dreading .Not sure what to make of anything anymore, sorry to be on a downer but its the way im feeling xxRachel

Aw Rachel, big hug coming your way, as you know my IVA hasn't been easy going either initially, dare I say things do look a bit more positive for myself now and I sincerely hope they do for you too very shortly. I don't know much about IP's and companies as I'm with Melanie but hope the variation goes through eventually and you do find life in an IVA bearable.
I'm up for a while as I've only just taken my painkillers and they take a while to work! I've got my MRI scan on the 17th July so hopefully that'll find the cause of the pain.
Chin up Rachel, I do understand. x

Hey Rachel, Lesley has just posted on another thread. I hope she won't mind me saying but her luck has been dire also. Similar story re things going capputt.
She has posted about her run of bad luck also.
You can get through this it may just take a few months to catch up so to speak.
If ours gets approved then similar will happen to us as we are not very lucky.....but I am expecting it lol!

Thanks LESLEY,I know we are not the only ones with problems in our ivas.Hubby is on nights this week ,my kids are in bed asleep and im just so fed up .Im sat here wondering what else could go wrong.Im really worried what is going to happen and i cant get through to anyone at Cleartstart because the Nottingham office is shut. I wouldnt mind if we had been notified of the changeover to DFD but we havent.

Clearstart are merging with Debt Free Direct and the Cleartstart office in Nottingham is shut , hence you cant speak to anyone !! We havent had a letter yet telling us of this but people on other posts have said that they have recieved their letters. So at the moment i cant get in touch with anyone to speak about our ivas.

I think you can e mail you IP direct. You can get their address from a website - but unfortunately I'm rubbish with web addresses. Melanie is about I think she will have the address, also she is wll aware of what isgoing on with Clear Start and DFD.

Clearstart were bought out by DFD last year, and whilst they are keeping the trading name, all of the cases I gather have now been transferred to IPs working for DFD.
Here follows the link to "Find an IP"

Practical help,have you tried
www.blackcircles.com for your tyres, buy online(or on the phone)and they have a list of garages you can go to for fitting,or if you know someone that can fit them you can just pay to get them delivered. Cheaper than kwik fit/national/ats etc etc, have a look, only need your tyre size for a quote.
