Well first the good news, I get a generous payrise and a bonus ( I obviously deserve it lol).......then would you believe our power shower has no power to shower so there's a plumbers bill on the way!!

Oh well - what fun would a straight forward life be eh [:)]

In a funny sort of way it is a blessing as you will not really be out of pocket what with the payrise and bonus so I suppose it could of been worse.

yes it could have been worse but if things like this happen when you dont have spare cash you need to contact your ip he will help lowering payments etc i needed a new washer my monthly payment went down for one month to allow me to get a new one[:)]

My IP has been my saviour even so early on in my IVA, £800 plumbers bill and a new washer, helped me out by lowering my payments for two months, this equated to me being one month in arrears but I'm slowly paying these back and intend for the arrears to be clear by first anniversary of IVA which is Feb 09. I would always say talk to IP first.

Hi,
Sorry to hear about the shower problems, but really pleased for you on getting the pay rise and bonus - I'm sure you worked blooming hard for those, well done. With all my moving around andThe other half's passing I have a couple of spare items, fridge freezer & washing machine so hopefully if one of mine breaks I will be able to replace them (that's just as well as my contingency fund contains about £5.60!! - I'm still working on trying to get it together, but there's never any spare cash to save).
I'm trying to save £1 per day, but always end up needing it for petrol or food by the end of the month,
Hey ho.....
Hugs,
Chardonnay

Soon as the dog got sick that was our emergency fund gone, and then the emergency emergency fund for real emergencies got used for fixing the car after an MOT fail!!!

Really wanted to save up and use at Xmas time but hey ho,manage somehow without that plastic!!!

I dont expect to ever get an emergency fund off the ground coz if its going to go wrong it always goes wrong with us when we have money. If I won the lottery 1 day I am sure the taxman would decide I had underpaid tax over my lifetime of 10p less than my winnings!!

Ack,as the saying goes "money doesnt make you happy"!!!"

Aye,but it would be nice to have to have some to see if thats true for myself.

I'd love to put that to the test as well plastic!

I'm sure I'd be a lot happier than not having much at all!
