My IVA commenced in June 2006 and I was lucky enough to successfully complete it in Feb 2007, I no longer live at the same address. Once I have lived at the new address for 3 years will the IVA still show up if I apply for a new bank account with a debit card? I don't want to apply for credit, just have the luxury of being able to benefit from online shopping discounts by having the ability to use a debit card.

Im fairly certain it will stay on your file for 6 years from the date that the IVA was set up. Regardless of weather you move it would still show up

I thought though, that you only had to put down addresses for the past three years when you applied for credit?

doesnt matter, you will still be linked to all the other addresses for the past 6 years.

It will still bring up the fact that you are in an IVA

sorry i meant it will bring up that you were in an IVA.

Unfotuanatly there is no hiding from it until the 6 years is up. If what you say was the case then they may aswell say that an IVA will just be recorded for 3 years.

Not what you want to hear i know.

Hi Hattie ... I use my Cashplus, prepaid card (Mastercard) for buying online and all sorts of other things! I wouldn't be without it.
