I was thinking last night what I will do when I have finished paying my IVA in April 2010.

Go shopping with out a list, buying what I want and takes my fancy.
Just browse around the shops with money in my pocket.
Treat my Grandchildren.
Open a saving account.
Go away on holiday

What I won't do is take on any credit unless it is absolutely essential and would pay it back asap

Never have credit or store cards.

Just a bit of Sunday fun

First thing I'd do is treat myself to a decent holiday not gone abroad in years, then I'd open up a savings account to start saving for a deposit on a house.

Hubby's was finished in december and since then i have still lived to a decent budget (shopping wise) and saved and saved.
Little boy got his pony for his birthday and he is doing him wonders. More recently we have bought daughter a horse too as she is the one that looks after me when im not feeling so good and she is marvellous with the little boy who is autistic as most of you already know. So, he was bought as a great big thank you to her.
She isnt one for going out at night and hanging round the streets and shes never give me a days trouble so its been well worth it.

I cant do holidays abroad anymore as the heat can bring on a relapse so i dont chance it.

Im pretty good at managing money anyway and i have always been able to save but since hubby's IVA completed, finances have got better so what we didnt have before all gets saved.

My daughter will be at uni, so take a year or two to clean any accumulated debt on her behalf and then live within my means for the rest of my life. If I can do it for 60 months I can do it forever. x

I make my last IPA payment in May 2010 and I'm planning on saving for a new car. Mine is only 4 years old but getting little niggles already. Whatever I get, it won't be another Vauxhall!
